Texture Pack Summary

The Chroma Visuals Vibrant Visual Texture Pack by Eternal Creations is an incredible visual upgrade for Minecraft Bedrock that aims to keep the classic look of your world while adding brilliant lighting effects. Available on the Minecraft Marketplace for 660 Minecoins, this pack is designed to be a functional masterpiece rather than just a simple compatibility update. When I tested it out, I was absolutely blown away by how the world reacts to light, giving everything a fresh and lively atmosphere.

One of the biggest highlights for me was exploring the different dimensions and biomes, especially the Nether. The way the colours shift from the deep red heat of the Crimson Forest to the eerie blue haze of the Warped Forest is spectacular. The Ancient City also looks completely mesmerising because the sculk and soul lanterns scatter gorgeous blue and red light across the Deepslate structures. Even the Overworld looks stunning with dynamic biome tints, realistic underwater god rays, and a beautiful twilight glow on the horizon.

While the lighting and reflections are fantastic, there were a few areas that felt a bit inconsistent during my testing. The pack uses advanced features like physically based rendering, but it only applies heightmaps to about 70 specific blocks like crafting tables and wood planks. This means transitioning between textured and flat blocks can feel a little jarring, and I felt the vanilla mobs were a missed opportunity since they did not get any cool reflections. However, because the pack functions so beautifully for vanilla purists, I am giving it a very solid 8 out of 10.

Pros

  • Spectacular dimension visuals: The Nether and the Ancient City look incredibly picturesque with distinct coloured lighting effects.
  • Advanced lighting technology: The pack features brilliant dynamic lighting including underwater god rays and a beautiful sunset horizon glow.
  • Beautiful copper blocks: The copper blocks in trial chambers have brilliant reflective surfaces that look highly polished.
  • Great atmospheric effects: Standing still in cold biomes triggers a vibrant northern lights display alongside randomized shooting stars.
  • Great value price: At 660 Minecoins on the Minecraft Marketplace it offers a massive visual upgrade for a reasonable cost.

Cons

  • Inconsistent height maps: Because only 70 blocks use height mapping the transition to flat vanilla blocks can break immersion.
  • Vanilla mob textures: The creatures retain their standard look with very few metallic reflections which feels like a missed opportunity.
  • Strict vanilla palette: Structures like the ocean monument keep their standard block choices which might disappoint players wanting total overhauls.
  • Standard guardian models: The monsters in the deep sea do not feature any unique visual upgrades or heightmaps.
  • Rounded down score: The pack functions beautifully enough to earn a higher rating but the lack of global texture consistency holds it back.
