Releasing content on the Minecraft Marketplace since 2020, todays creator has created Minecraft Bedrock Add Ons, Minecraft Bedrock Mashups, Minecraft Bedrock Worlds and Minecraft Bedrock Cosmetics for players to enjoy.. With 40 projects generating over 6 million downloads, Mythicus aim to create games for players to enjoy in Minecraft! Daz Man managed to get some questions over to the Mythicus team, who very nicely answered them, so, lets go and Meet The Creator!

Daz Man Interviews Mythicus!
Q1: Can you tell us a bit about your journey into Minecraft and how you became a Marketplace creator?
Our founders (3 of us) originally began playing Minecraft back in 2011. All of us were builders. We would design builds for youtubers such as antvenom, caveman films, skydoesminecraft, and many more creators. We worked closely with Hypixel before they had their server and helped to create this:
After a long time of building, one founder found work for another marketplace studio, and another founder went the route of publishing his own content through a verified publisher (Pathways Studios). This was the beginning of our path to the marketplace!
Q2: What tools, software, or plugins do you rely on the most, and why?
Blockbench, Aseprite, Snowstorm, Audacity, and of course Minecraft! This covers models, animations, textures, sound effects, particles, and builds! Everything you need for a polished piece of content.

Q3: What’s next for you? Any upcoming releases, ideas, or collaborations we should watch out for?
We have two horror java mod ports we are working on! I won't say their names yet but I think everyone would be pretty excited. We are trying to get a third one, but its proving to be a bit complicated to work as an add-on. So we are working on a solution for that too.
We recently finished our major update for Parasite Outbreak add-on, our weapons and tools update just released, and we are working on bringing our add-ons up to speed with some of the great content that recently released so that they function well together.

Q4: Do you have any advice for aspiring Minecraft creators who want to get onto the Marketplace?
Start making content and release it on mcpedl or curseforge! It is a great way to grow your portfolio. After this, apply to an official Minecraft Marketplace publisher to begin your journey to become a marketplace partner.
Focus on learning scripting and components before anything! Then you can make your way into textures, sound effects, etc...

Q5: What is one thing about the Marketplace, or Minecraft behind the scenes in general, that you think people aren't aware of or don't realise?
Everything takes a lot of time more time than you think to make due to all the different devices that Minecraft supports. It makes it extremely complicated handling different functionality for each device and its hard to test.
Also with how long stuff takes to go from submission to release, if you start making a large update or a large pack, it can take easily a year and a half before anything comes to fruition. Most of the stuff that we make takes between 9 months to a year before it is even seen by the public.
